We are looking for an AI developer in climate sciences, whose main tasks are as follows:

Design and implement algorithms for analyzing and modeling climate data.
Develop weather and climate data processing tools and pipelines.
Work on optimizing forecasting models and statistical analysis methods.
Collaborate with climatology experts to translate scientific needs into high-performance technological solutions.
Develop data visualization and exploration interfaces to facilitate interpretation of results.
Participate in the continuous improvement of research and development tools, ensuring their robustness and scalability.

Degree in computer science, applied mathematics, data science or related field, with specialization in climatology or environmental science appreciated.
Significant experience in software development and data analysis, ideally applied to climate science.
Strong analytical skills and an appetite for solving complex problems involving environmental data.
Autonomy, rigor and team spirit to evolve in a multidisciplinary environment.

Programming languages: Excellent command of Python for climate data analysis and modeling. Knowledge of JavaScript (for data visualization), R, or low-level languages (C/C++ for performance) is a plus.
Data processing and analysis: Experience in handling large climate datasets (netCDF, HDF5, GRIB, Parquet, Zarr) and using scientific libraries (Polars, NumPy, Pandas, Xarray, SciPy).
Modeling and Machine Learning: Expertise in statistical and deep learning (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) applied to environmental data
GIS and data visualization: Good understanding of Geographic Information Systems (QGIS, GDAL, GeoPandas) and visualization tools (Matplotlib, Plotly, D3.js).
Development and deployment: Experience in putting algorithms into production on the cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) with tools such as Docker and Kubernetes would be a plus.
Working methods: Knowledge of software development best practices (Git, CI/CD, unit testing, documentation) and agile methods (Scrum, Kanban).
